Fantasy Footballers’ Andy Holloway is a dedicated zero-inbox kinda guy

If you haven’t had your fantasy football draft yet, better get on it.

If you haven’t had your fantasy football draft yet, better get on it.

Andy Holloway cohosts the Fantasy Footballers podcast with his friends Jason Moore and Mike Wright. The show is one of the premier fantasy sports podcasts, netting over 2 million monthly listeners and numerous awards, including Best Sports Podcast from iHeartRadio and People’s Choice at the Podcast Awards four years in a row.
Holloway’s goal has always been about bringing fantasy football to a wider audience, not just hardcore nerds. With the NFL season starting next week and fantasy drafts in full swing, now seemed like a great time to see how Holloway stays focused during what is probably the busiest part of the year for a serious fantasy football fan.
What is one thing you wish you could change about your phone?
I wish it was less intrusive in everyday life. No matter how much I customize things, I am still overwhelmed with notifications and messages and things that “seem” required.
Just 2! I’m very much a tidy tab user and a zero-inbox type of guy.
What is your favorite gadget you’ve ever owned?
I truly love my Whoop! It helps me stay motivated and accountable, barely needs to be charged, and builds camaraderie with friends. I resisted for years, thinking it was dumb, but I love it.
Certainly, building The Fantasy Footballers . People told us we couldn’t bootstrap it, but working with my best friends on a project we loved was the most satisfying accomplishment.
I try to knock out a ton of little things in a small period of time to feel like I’ve cleared a bunch of stuff off my list. It helps me stay focused on high-priority items without the noise of a bunch of small things hanging over me!
What’s the last piece of physical media you bought?
The vinyl album of Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide.

FundingThe White House is making arcade games racist
The PR masterminds at the White House just released a series of vaguely policy-themed "arcade" games, some of which are racist - and modeled on real games whose copyright holders may not be too happy to be associated with the MAGA agenda. The Tetris Company has already responded…
