Eight Sleep’s new cooling hub is small enough to hide under your bed

Eight Sleep announced the next version of its “intelligent sleep system” designed to regulate the temperature of your bed in response to tracked health and sleep metrics like breathing and heart rate. The company calls its new Pod 6 system its “most significant hardware launch to date,” and it’s centered around a redesigned cooling hub that’s now small enough to hide beneath most beds. The new system is cheaper than Eight Sleep’s Pod 5 that launched in 2025 , but is still by no means cheap.

The Pod 6 is now available through Eight Sleep’s online store . The Standard version ranges in price from $2,699 for a full-size mattress to $2,999 for king and California king sizes. But for the first time Eight Sleep will offer a smaller Solo option for single sleepers with a cover that fits half of any size mattress for $1,999. The Pod 6 system is still compatible with Eight Sleep’s optional accessories, like its $999 cooling pillow cover , and there’s a mandatory subscription that ranges in price from $199 to $399 per year for two sleepers.

Eight Sleep claims the Pod 6’s control hub was “rebuilt from scratch, with the electrical, mechanical, and software systems re-engineered together,” resulting in it being half the size of previous versions while delivering more performance. The hub, which circulates temperature-controlled water through the mattress cover to help deliver a better night’s sleep, is now 20 percent faster at making temperature adjustments.

The Pod 6’s health and sleep tracking capabilities have also been upgraded with additional sensors. While last year’s Pod 5 featured two biometric sensors integrated into the mattress cover, the Pod 6 increases that to 18 sensors. It can track health metrics like heart rate, heart rate variability, breathing rate, sleep stages, and detect snoring for two individuals whether they’re sleeping next to each other or on opposite sides of the bed. The system is also smart enough to distinguish between adults, children, and pets. All of that collected data is used by Eight Sleep’s AI-powered Autopilot feature (which is what the subscription covers) to make automatic temperature adjustments throughout the night to maintain comfort without any manual input.
